The Results Companies Pledges Immediate and Long Term Support to Typhoon Haiyan Relief

FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA, December 2, 2013 – The Results Companies LLC (The Results Companies), a leading global provider of a full range of customer experience management services, has announced its continued support for the thousands of displaced families impacted by Typhoon Haiyan. In addition to its immediate and currently ongoing mobilization efforts, the company recently partnered with Habitat for Humanity Philippines to launch a multi-level global relief initiative that will focus on the small town of Medellin, Cebu and very specifically on the rebuilding of a school within the town.

A small town on northern Cebu Island with a population of approximately 60,000 people, Medellin does not receive the media attention of Tacloban and other regionally impacted areas. The Results Companies, recognizing the town’s immediate need, quickly contacted the local government in the wake of the storm. Upon hearing that 95% of the town’s structures were destroyed, a team of volunteers was immediately mobilized to purchase supplies and materials. The team traveled to evacuation camps where they distributed essential care items and assembled 300 shelters, providing haven to over 3,000 people.

Launched on November 22nd, The Results Companies’ Typhoon Haiyan Relief Initiative allows employees, customers and families across the globe to donate money through an online fundraising site, www.give2habitat.org/philippines/ResultsTyphoonHaiyanRelief. Through this digital community, the companies’ contact centers across the world will work through January 1, 2014 in a very focused effort to raise funds. As of December 2st, nearly 320,000 PHP has been raised though the site. The companies’ employees have also donated over 1,439 “leave days” representing an additional 647,550 PHP.

Beyond the online fundraising and the contributions of its employees, The Results Companies has pledged a donation of PHP 100 (USD 2.30) for every new hire in the Philippines between now and the end of 2013. By January 2, 2014, they plan to add more than 1,000 new employees across their four centers in Manila and Mactan Newton, Cebu.
